 True relaxation, we think, is a hotel room that exceeds your wildest expectations; where everything is just that bit better than you could possibly imagine: the bed more comfortable, the lighting cleverer, the pillows just as you like them, the bath huge and the water hot and powerful. That's the philosophy behind our Montrose Rooms.

These are rooms for indulgence and pampering with new-release DVDs to watch and CDs to listen to on a wicked entertainment system; a hot soak in a bath with deliciously fragranced bath products (and we don't mean itsy-bitsy little soaps and lily of the valley shower gel either); a TV to watch as you bathe; a steam bath...

In fact the last thing you can expect is the expected. Who could have predicted colour-changing shower lights, not to mention a unique sand and light sculpture by one of Britain's leading lighting designers? There's fire lighting effects in the bathrooms of the Junior Suites, and room 16 features a unique Ammique bed. Before you ask, it's an ingenious sleep system designed to hold you in the perfect sleeping position whatever your shape, weight or movement.

Pad about the bathroom and your feet will be warmed by underfloor heating. Open the minibar in our Suites and you'll find wine, beer and juice on the house. We've even included bathroom scales (too cruel?). Oh, and did we mention the delicate matter of the showers and baths being big enough for two?
